Rising Resilience: Empowering Communities and Protecting Lives
Emergency management, when executed in a detrimental manner, can result in an unfortunate city takeover. Instead of fostering resilience and collaboration, a flawed approach to emergency management may lead to the erosion of community autonomy and limited decision-making power for local residents. Simultaneously, promoting responsible gun control measures ensures the safety and well-being of individuals. By implementing comprehensive background checks, proper training requirements, and responsible ownership practices, we can help prevent gun-related incidents and minimize harm.

What We Do

Community Engagement
Oakland Forward engages Oakland County people, especially marginalized populations. Community gatherings, forums, and workshops allow people to share their experiences and strive toward good change.

Oakland Forward offers education and training to help residents advocate for social justice and economic equity. These workshops cover activism, leadership, community organizing, and more.

Resource Provision
Oakland Forward offers legal, health, and educational services to disadvantaged residents. Crisis-stricken families and individuals receive financial aid from us.

Oakland Forward advocates for Oakland County policies that benefit all citizens. To ensure underrepresented communities' perspectives are heard, we collaborate with local government officials, community leaders, and other organizations.

Oakland Forward connects residents who care about social justice and economic equity. We develop a strong, supportive community united in positive change by connecting people.

Oakland Forward strengthens other like-minded organizations and communities. These groups receive training and support to better serve their communities and achieve their goals.

As residents have been excluded from the planning of OUR Future's infrastructure for far too long, we have taken it upon ourselves to organize and build such facilities wherever injustice occurs. It is time for the residents of Oakland County to come together and determine what will aid in the county's development.
